I want to share a testimony of the Lord's protection based on Psalm 91 and the power of pleading the blood over ourselves and our homes.

I live with a couple and their son, who are very dear friends of mine. A few days ago, my friend and I smelled an unfamiliar odor coming from the garage. It smelled like melting plastic so I began to check all the outlets and plugs.

After checking everything, I was unable to find the source so I decided to call the fire department. Unfortunately, the firemen were also unable to locate where the odor was coming from. They recommended we call an electrician.

That night, my friend’s husband came home from work and discovered that the source of the odor was from smoldered insulation and wiring near the hot water heater.

The next day, the plumber and electrician came to check and informed us that a power surge had caused water to leak from the hot water tank. This shorted out some wires and the heater’s thermostat.

We realized that the power surge occurred over a week ago due to a storm. Apparently, the smoldering had been going on for a few days! We knew we were definitely protected by the Lord. If my friend’s husband hadn’t found the source and turned off the heater, it could have caught on fire or exploded that night!

There is no doubt in our minds that declaring Psalm 91 and pleading the blood of Jesus over us and our property covered us with the Lord’s divine protection.
