About a year ago, I had my yearly routine body check-up, and a week later, I had the review. From the blood test, the doctor was very concerned about the high amount of enzymes in my liver.

The SGPT (ALT) and SGOT (AST) levels were almost 10 times above the reference range, which read 381 for ALT and 219 for AST. The reference range was 10–49 for ALT and <34 for AST. I have to admit that I smoke, drink every weekend, and have been eating mostly junk and fried foods. I only tried to change these lifestyle habits prior to the blood test by smoking less, exercising more, and cutting out junk food.

When the doctor shared with me the numbers and explained the possibility of liver damage, he was also contemplating referring me to A&E so that I could be quickly referred to a liver specialist. However, he later suggested I do another blood test in 2 to 3 weeks and advised me to change my habits, hoping for the enzyme levels to drop.

For the next week, fear, anxiety, and confusion crippled me daily, and I began to think of my liver being damaged and the worst of the worst. That was when I began to watch Joseph Prince’s sermons and worship videos on YouTube. In one of his sermons, he touched on casting all our cares to our Lord Jesus and not being afraid or troubled, and reminded me that by Jesus’ stripes, I am healed.

I also started to pray in tongues. Soon, the anxiety and fear left me. I started confessing daily that I am the righteousness of God in Christ, that by His stripes, I am healed. I also meditated on God’s Word. On one occasion, I heard the Lord telling me that He loves me and that the body I have belongs to Him, as He is the One who created it, and He will not let any part be damaged. He is indeed the manufacturer of my body.

I did another blood test. On the night before the review, I started worrying, as the devil started telling me that the results would be the same. I knew these were lies, and I simply replied that it is God’s problem now since He is the manufacturer of my liver and body. I chose to rest in God’s peace and love, telling myself that even if I have to go and see a liver specialist, so be it. I know God will be in full control, and He will be my liver specialist.

On the day of the review, the doctor was shocked to find that the enzyme levels had dropped to the following:

SGPT (ALT): from 381 to 37
SGOT (AST): from 219 to 25
GGT: from 29 to 23

The doctor could not explain the massive drop (almost 10 times) in 26 days, and I simply told him that God, my manufacturer, did the repair supernaturally. I shared what I did in the 3 weeks—meditating on His Word, declaring His truth, and partaking of the Holy Communion. The doctor is also a believer, and we praised God for His grace and love.

Truly, we serve a living God, and He is indeed the manufacturer of our body, and His Word is ever living. His name is above all names, and every other name shall bow to the name of Jesus.
