Lungs Capacity Increased, Diabetes Gone, Student Loans Forgiven

I am a GRC Online (GRCO) member and have been impacted by Joseph Prince’s ministry for more than 10 years.

During the pandemic in 2021, I tested positive for COVID-19. Four days after, I was so weak that I went to the emergency room because I felt I needed urgent help. The medic discovered that my oxygen reading was only at 56 percent! He told me I was very ill and that a team would come together immediately to try and save my life. The triage doctor gave me little hope and asked if I would agree to intubation and other life-saving measures to keep me alive. Of course, I agreed.

When I was in the valley of the shadow of death in that room, I remembered what Joseph Prince had said in a sermon: “See yourself healed and at home with your family.” I also did not want to be intubated. As the team worked on me, I felt a peace come over me. I never lost consciousness and didn’t end up being intubated like they said I would. I just knew Jesus was with me. I had only enough energy to focus on the truth that He was with me. I didn’t have the energy to do anything else but focus on the vision of Him as my Shepherd.

I was in the ICU for 11 days and in the hospital for 24 days. The virus attacked my lungs. Every day, they gave my daughter a bleak outlook on my survival, but God would give me little miracles. I was discharged and went home on oxygen. The enemy brought thoughts to my mind that I would need a lung transplant to survive because my lungs were not improving.

I started reading Joseph Prince’s book The Power of Right Believing. That book was just what I needed. Every chapter helped me to combat those thoughts and replace them with God’s Word! Later, when I watched Pastor Prince’s first sermon of the year, he prayed for families for the entire year, and my oxygen level immediately improved!

After a few months, I was gradually weaned off the oxygen therapy. My lungs were restored 30, 60, and at this point of writing, I am at 90 percent recovered lung capacity headed toward my 100-fold. I am healthier now than I was pre-COVID! I am almost a 100 pounds lighter too.

I was diagnosed with type 2 diabetes a few months before my COVID diagnosis. My A1C was over 11 percent then. My most recent A1C is 5.7 (a normal A1C level is 5.6 percent). By Jesus’ stripes, I am healed, made completely whole! My youth is renewed like the eagles. I no longer need to take medicine for diabetes.

Every time I read a chapter of The Power of Right Believing, I see a vision of the golden tubes that Pastor Prince had described administering grace to me. The shackles of worry, guilt, and condemnation fell off chapter by chapter, allowing me to receive God’s grace that is constantly being supplied to me.

The book also encouraged me to ask God for big things, and one of those things I asked was about a student loan debt I had for more than 20 years. I had applied for loan forgiveness when the option was available, but it was rejected. When I read the book's last chapter, I received a letter stating that my loan forgiveness application had been reviewed again due to some changes in the program rules. My student loan worth $37,305.85 was forgiven! PAID IN FULL—just like all of my sins.

GRCO has been a tremendous blessing to me. I have been able to hear the gospel of grace with my GRCO family of believers. And the hearing of faith has helped me to receive an abundance of grace. I thank God for Joseph Prince pointing me to grace and for preaching the gospel of grace so that I may continue to be transformed by the Word of God and receive all that Jesus has paid for me on the cross!
