Prayer Request Answered with Job Beyond Expectations
At the beginning of last month, I watched the sermon of the theme for the year, “The Third Day.” As I listened, I was filled with joy and excitement. I felt so loved by my Abba Father, and deep inside, I knew this year would be full of opportunities, blessings, and favor—not just for me but for my family too.
During the sermon, Pastor Prince encouraged us to write down our top 3 prayer requests and believe they would happen before the year ends. One of my requests was to receive a job. From that moment on, I thanked the Lord every day for the position I believed He was already preparing for me.
I applied to many jobs online. One company interviewed me and offered me a position, but I didn’t feel the peace to accept it. The salary was lower than at my previous job, and the benefits weren’t great. So I turned it down, trusting that God had something better for me.
Sometime later, I had another interview. The moment I entered the building, I could already imagine myself working there. I felt peace and excitement during the interview and believed God’s unmerited favor was with me. Afterward, I told Daddy God, “This is the one. I want to work here.”
But the process took longer than expected, and I started to wonder if the job was really for me. Still, I chose to trust God’s plan.
About a week later, I received a text from the company inviting me to a final interview. I was so happy I cried! Later that day, I saw a devotional email from Pastor Prince titled, “At the Right Place, at the Right Time.” I knew it was God reminding me to trust His timing.
After the interview, they said they would update me in 2 days, but weeks passed with no news. I felt anxious and shared all my emotions with the Lord. I cried out and asked Him, “When is Your perfect time?” After that, I felt peace in my heart and continued to trust His promises.
The company sent me an email to apologize for the delay because they were waiting for approval from their headquarters. They asked me to keep my availability open. Then, 1 month after the interview, I finally received the job offer. I was invited to a call to go over the compensation package.
Before the call, I felt peaceful and confident, knowing my Abba would exceed my expectations. And He did! When the human resource manager shared the offer, I cried. The salary was much higher than at my previous job, and the benefits were exactly what I had prayed for. I could only say, “I knew it, Lord! Thank You!”
