Secured Managerial Role Without Management Experience
In the middle of last year, I secured a new position at a bank after searching for a new job for over a year. By God’s grace, I got the job and enjoyed a wonderful working environment. Shortly afterward, in December, I received a call from someone in HR at my previous workplace asking if I was interested in a managerial role at a tier III bank. Let’s call it Bank A.
I was an officer in my new role and had never held a managerial position before. I was thrilled and formally submitted my application. I secured an interview and successfully progressed through 3 interview rounds. During the interview process, I received another call from a former colleague asking if I was interested in a managerial role at a tier I bank. Let’s call it Bank B. I was elated, as these were two good opportunities the Lord had brought my way.
By the last week of January this year, I had not received any feedback from Bank A after my last interview, while Bank B had not yet contacted me for an interview. I lost hope in both opportunities and decided to focus fully on my work. A day after I resolved to move on, I received a call from human resource at Bank B asking to schedule an interview.
I attended the interview on the scheduled date, and within 2 hours, they asked me to attend a second interview a week later. After the 2nd interview, again I again heard back from them within 2 hours that I had been accepted for the role. I had never experienced such a quick turnaround in interviews before. This was truly God accelerating time for me through the prompt responses and moving me into a managerial role at 29 years old. All glory to God!
He is truly the God of much more, and I believe He is not done yet and is going to do much more in my life! Thank you, Pastor Prince and the entire JPM team, for accepting the call of God on your lives and bringing the Word of God to His people. God bless you always!
