Set Free from Financial Fear by Resting in God
My family and I have been part of GRC for some time now. We started at the Irving location, but when COVID started, we watched from home. Once it was safe, we started going to the venue at North Richland Hills Campus.
During that time, I felt broken. My husband was only watching from home, and I lived in constant fear about finances. We prayed for my husband to start coming to church. After some time, my husband said one day, “I am going to come with you all,” and from that point on, he did not miss a week unless he was sick.
We started going to a care group. We were going through a lot, and the care group would pray for us. I still felt fear and brokenness. I hear the message that God loves me and is here for me, but the enemy does his best to keep me from believing that.
In these past few months, something has changed. I have stopped worrying about finances. Before that, the fear was so strong. All I did was worry about what I could do to fix things or how it was going to work. I heard the message from our pastors that God wants us to rest, yet the enemy reminded me that if I rest, I just do not care.
But I have learned that to rest is to trust, and it truly has made a difference. We just had a financial situation where our car gave out. Help came from our family, even as we just rested and trusted, and we ended up with exactly the car we wanted for our family.
God has blessed us with GRC. It is truly a blessing to be part of such a wonderful church family that truly cares, takes time to listen, prays, and encourages each other by showing God’s love. I loved that it is not a place of judgment, but a place where God’s love shows through the members.
My girls really enjoyed RevYouth, and when I saw how happy they are serving at Rock Kids, I also joined. I truly love being part of Rock Kids. It brings such joy and peace.
I am so excited for 2026 and so truly blessed to be part of such a wonderful church family.
