At the start of this year, everything felt like it was falling apart. My Canadian permanent residency (PR) was about to expire, and I didn’t meet the renewal requirements. My work environment had also become very toxic.

I often worked 18-hour days and was anxious and exhausted. My weekends were filled with migraines. I’d work hard all week and spend the weekends unwell, only for the cycle to start again.

On Vision Sunday, I clearly wrote down what I wanted God to do in 2025. As Pastor Prince asked, I listed 3 things:

1. Supernatural renewal of my PR.
2. A meaningful job with a great work-life balance, so I could spend more time with God and my family.
3. A deeper understanding of God’s love for me.

I submitted my PR renewal under humanitarian grounds. I’d read that it could take months or even years. However, I continued to listen to Pastor Prince and learn to pray like a child to a loving Father. I said, “Daddy God, my birthday is coming. Please let my PR be my gift.”

That simple prayer yielded results within 48 hours. The immigration office reached out, helped me establish my case, and 2 weeks later, my PR was renewed for 5 years. A process that should have taken eighteen to 24 months happened in days. By February this year, my first prayer had been answered.

Next, I trusted God for my second request. Pastor Prince had said, “Ask for a position, not a job,” and that word stayed in my heart. I told God I wanted a director role in my industry and chose not to worry about how it would happen.

One day, I felt led to message a few leaders on LinkedIn in a department I had a growing interest in. One of them replied, saying they were looking to hire someone just like me. My interview was scheduled on a day filled with the number of grace. I knew it was a divine wink. The process was smooth, and I received an offer for the director role. That was the second answered prayer.

Finally, I realized God had already fulfilled my third request. How God’s Word carried me through my valley season helped me truly grasp His love. I keep reminding myself that if God gave me Christ when I was a sinner, how much more will He freely give to me now?
