Termination Crisis Turned Around Through Favor
In this year of much more, I would like to share an amazing testimony of the Lord’s faithfulness. I work for an IT consulting company in the USA. After my client project ended on January 31, I suddenly had no project to join, something that had never happened to me in all my previous years.
In the consulting world, not having a billable project usually leads to being let go within 4 to 6 weeks, according to company policy, especially in this tough job market. As someone on a work visa in the USA, whose ability to live and work is tied to my job, this was an extremely heavy trial, just like the storm Pastor Prince spoke about in the year of much more vision.
By God’s grace, my company kept me until week ten, well beyond their 6-week policy, but by then, termination had already been initiated. Our eyes were fixed on the cross, and we kept meditating on this verse: “He who did not spare His own Son but delivered Him up for us all, how shall He not with Him also freely give us all things?” (Rom. 8:32).
Suddenly, an opportunity opened up on another team’s project. They were urgently looking for someone with certain technical skills, and the team lead came to me and said, “I’m thinking about you,” and offered me the role. Though I had no prior experience with that technology, the Lord gave me favor, and I was onboarded to the project overnight!
After ten weeks without a project and with termination looming over my head, the Lord miraculously opened this role for me. Even the human resource staff and other people I had spoken with, who were non-believers, said, “This is God’s hand. You are so lucky.” From “we have to let you go” to “you’re joining a new project” happened so quickly that we stood before the cross in awe, seeing how our Lord Jesus can turn a trial into victory overnight without any effort on my part.
All glory to our Lord Jesus, who turns storms into unexpected blessings and leads us into much more. Thank You, Lord Jesus.
