Freed from Constant Use of Pain Medication
Two months ago, I was listening to one of Pastor Prince’s sermons. At the end of it, he began praying for healing. He mentioned a person who was taking sleep medication and said the Lord was telling that person to stop, as the medication was no longer good for the person to keep taking. It would be hard the first couple of nights, but it would get better, and Jesus was going to help.
At that time, I was taking narcotic pain medication and a muscle relaxant. I would take them at night to help with the pain and to help me sleep. I had been taking these medications on and off for a few years. From March 2022, it became a daily occurrence. Whether the pain was severe or not, I took them daily, especially at night.
I believed that word was for me, so I decided I would stop taking the narcotic pain medication. I told myself I would take it one day at a time, since I was afraid of what might happen without it. The muscle relaxant I was taking could be administered in either 5- or 10-milligram doses, depending on the need. I had already cut it down to 5 milligrams because it was giving me a hangover in the morning.
I tried to continue with the muscle relaxant while not taking the narcotic pain medication. But even at the lower dose, it began giving me bad dreams and nightmares, along with the hangover. I took a step of faith and quit taking it completely.
It has now been 2 months, and I haven’t had to take either medication at all. My back pain has become much less severe. I only take over-the-counter pain medication when I need it.
All praise to Jesus! Thank you, Pastor Prince!
